WHEN:  January 19. 2017 at 12:00 p.m. EST for networking and lunch followed by the tour from 1:00-2:00 p.m. EST

Parking:

When driving onto our campus, please enter through the Main Gate (A Gate) and park along the main circle in visitor parking.  Once those spots are full, park in Lot 7 (north lot), if instructed.  Proceed to main lobby.

 

What to bring:

*Government-issued Photo ID - You will need to show this to security when requested

 

Important Guidelines:

*  Please arrive promptly.

Guests should wear comfortable shoes. Ladies may not wear heels or open-toes shoes.   

*  No food, drinks, or gum during the tour.

*  Long hair (below shoulders) must be secured with plain barrettes or clips without embellishments. Rubber bands may not be used to secure hair.

*  No jewelry (except watches and wedding bands without stones).

*  No perfume, cologne or scented lotions.

*  Cell phones must be in pockets below the waist and turned off.

*  Remove all loose items above waist (neckties, scarves, items in shirt pockets).  Badges worn at waist or below.

*  Cameras and/or the taking of photographs are not allowed in the factory.

*  Safety glasses, earplugs and toe caps are provided.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: 

Experience a highly automated manufacturing plant tour.  The tour will examine processes in the tobacco industry--from seed to pack and consist of the main Cigarette Manufacturing Bays, a Filter Making Bay, and Direct Materials.  Also, quality management, inventory control and an overview of taxation will be examined.   

 

1.       Observe a world class cigarette manufacturing center  

2.       Understand the process flow of inventory

3.       Review how PMUSA’s material management system operates

4.       Understand PMUSA's quality management system and how the operators interact with it.

5.       Recognize the impact of Taxes-how much, different types (state, local, city, federal, etc.) & how they are accounted for

6.       Understand how important Traceability is in the manufacturing process

1.0 CPE Credit in the field of Production provided by BDO and 1.0 CTP Credit

 

Participation Requirements for CPE Programs

To receive CPE credit for participation in a CAFP training program, you must sign-in at the beginning and actively participate throughout the session. You will receive an email notification once the attendance record has been processed including instructions on how to access your CPE certificate.
