SESSION SUMMARY: For years, companies in Europe have embedded ESG (Environmental, Societal, and Governance) factors as a part of their decision making tools in everything from choosing vendors to pension mandates and corporate cash. Recently this trend has migrated to America and becoming more a part of the investment landscape. In this presentation you’ll learn briefly about that history as well as what ESG is (and isn’t) and how that information can help treasury departments with their cash investments in addition to being a resource to their corporation at large with market trends around ESG.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1. Learn about the history of ESG and its migration from Europe to the US
2. Understand the difference between ESG, SRI, and Impact oriented strategies
3. Gain tools to understand how an awareness of ESG can help corporate treasury departments.
