SESSION SUMMARY: Presentation will provide an introduction to Supply Chain Finance (SCF), a working capital tool used to optimize trade terms between buyers of goods and their suppliers. Participants will learn about the history of the SCF product through the 2008 financial crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, how SCF allows for a ‘win-win-win’ scenario among buyers, suppliers and the bank providers, SCF industry trends and key market participants. In addition, participants will be presented with a real-life case study that will serve as an example of how the SCF benefits are put into practice.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1. Describe what Supply Chain Finance is and how it can drive value for all supply chain participants.
2. Demonstrate a true understanding for best practices in the product marketplace.
3. Explain real-world applicability of SCF through case study example.
