SESSION SUMMARY:   In March of 2023 the Gold Alexander Hamilton Awards were bestowed on ChildFund International for a massive transformation effort that created an effective cyber-resilient cash fortress at the organization. Join to learn about the award winning strategies deployed that blended hi-tech and low-tech approaches to defend, repel, confuse and evade cybercriminals. Learn practical and readily applicable techniques, new technologies, and data hygiene practices that all treasury operations need to incorporate for safety. This session is particularly important to organizations that store large amounts of PCI and PII data for such things as recurring payments. You will learn about tokenization, payment rails, internal controls, external controls and new paradigms of risk in a 21st century payment processing environment.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: 

1. Discuss Cyber Risks specifically related to Treasury Departments

2. Learn practical tactics that can be implemented to manage treasury cyber-risk

3. Learn about strategies that blend hi-tech & low-tech approaches to manage treasury cyber-risk

4. Review actual methods effective for business, such as data hygiene exercises, ways to enhance PCI & PII Security

5. Discuss ways to keep payment requests & payment instruction modifications more secure

1.0 CPE Credits and 1.0 CTP/FP&A Credits in the field of IT provided by VSCPA (CPE)/CAFP (CTP/FP&A) 

Participation Requirements for CPE Programs:  To receive CPE credit for participation in a CAFP training program, you must sign-in at by the end of the session.  You will receive an email notification once the attendance record has been processed including instructions on how to access your CPE certificate.

          

VSCPA is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
