SESSION SUMMARY:  As deepfake technology advances, fraudsters are using AI-generated videos, images, and audio to manipulate individuals and businesses, leading to sophisticated scams and financial losses.


LEARNING OBJECTIVES: 

How deepfakes are fueling payment fraud and APP scams

Real-world case studies of deepfake-enabled fraud

Red flags to watch for and regulatory guidance

Best practices for detection, mitigation, and fraud prevention

Participation Requirements for CPE Programs

To receive CPE credit for participation in a CAFP program, you must attend & actively participate in the full session.  You will receive an email notification once the attendance record has been processed including instructions on how to access your CPE certificate.

          

VSCPA is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.
