SESSION SUMMARY:
Cybercriminals aren't breaking in — they're logging in. We're operating in a threat landscape where identity-based attacks — from rented credentials to AI-driven impersonation — are exposing the limits of legacy, device-centric verification. In this session, we'll explore what it means to build person-based verification into digital identity systems — verifying the human, not just the credentials or device they're using. We'll discuss how biometrics and other real-time signals are being applied across the customer lifecycle, from onboarding and high-risk transactions to support channels and account recovery, and the trade-offs around privacy, user experience, and risk.

To receive CPE credit for participation in a CAFP program, you must attend & actively participate in the full session. You will receive an email notification once the attendance record has been processed including instructions on how to access your CPE certificate.
VSCPA is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
